For all the random things in life:

{letters to my 1st year Firsties}

I found the sweetest poem on Pinterest and decided that my kiddos need to know that I was still thinking about them even though it was summer. Being a teacher is so rewarding! :)

know what this is? It's thrifting/yard sale-ing/all in one. Bre and I hit a place Saturday and let's just say, her 4-runner was crammed full! Oh, so much fun!

It will be in my classroom come August with my computer on top! The drawers drew me in. I love some storage! :)

Today has been a lazy day! I've gotten some things done that have been on the to-do list for a while.

Oh, wait. I'm there! :)

Sometimes when I'm looking at my class full of 27 firsties, it hits me that I am a grown-up doing what I have always ~~wanted~~ dreamed of doing! It's a scary thought to know that all these kiddos depend on me to get them through this season of their life. :)

So, thankful that God loves me and gives me grace every day to face the situations that I have to face. The Lord is good, let me tell ya.

Some days, teaching is NOTHING like what I thought it would be and some days I absolutely couldn't see myself doing anything else. I'm working on the "loving it" part.

Today's topic. 5 Beauty Products that I love/can't live without.

This is not my niche. I love makeup but I don't ENJOY playing with it and experimenting new trends. Here's my simple, southern take on it.

1.) Foundation- We get this for a great price at our local flea market. Goes on smooth and I love how I don't feel like I have lots of goop on my face. :)

2.) Mascara- I love mascara. Probably my favorite accessory! I love the way I can layer mascara and make those lashies supa black and long! What I use the most of, below.

Maybelline Great Lash Washable Mascara, Very Black

3.) Primer with Sunscreen for this white child.

4.) Eyeliner. My 2nd favorite thing! I love the way it makes my eyes stand out!
Really doesn't matter the brand. I like them all. Usually what's on sale.

5.) My pinterest-inspired makeup brush holder. I love this because it's easy to find all my brushes in one place! Coffee beans an added prize. Love the smell in those early mornings!

Whew! I made it through! Makeup is wonderful, I just need to get better about loving it!

{1st Grade} I love the conversations that I have with my Firsties. Today one of my little girls asked me why I didn't have any kids. I answered with that I wasn't married. Well, you know where that went. "Ms. Patton, Why you not got a husband?" Geez. Make me feel desperate why don't you? :)

{Girls I get to DO life with} Lauren, Lane, Jenny. All of them. I adore each one for what they bring to the table and the blessing that they have been to me while moving away from my "comfort zone" and into my life grown-up life. God is faithful and he never said it would be easy but that he would make it worth it for his glory.

Thank you Lord for showing me your blessings tonight.

{Birthday Celebrations} This weekend I get to celebrate this man's birthday. Craig, even though I'm not sure how old he'll be. Cough, cough-- He's pretty special. I've always looked up to him and thought so much for his sweet family. Even though he is a state fan. yuck!
