Sami's Shenanigans

This Thanksgiving Break/Weekend has been fabulous! I seriously could sleep for days because we have spent every moment having fun and living our lives. :) I'm so thankful for a family that goes and does and likes to live life doing all sorts of things. This Thanksgiving Break was one for the books.

Wednesday I started Thanksgiving Break with picking up a friend at the airport.// Traditional Family portrait on Thanksgiving// 2013 Egg Bowl is a bad memory in this girl's mind. I'm always a Rebel no matter what though!// RIP Alabama- That game rocked my night! It was crazy!// Sweet Haley's Engagement party// Faison made my sweet coffee happy. It's adorable!// Peter's Pottery Open House with the family! Love his art.//Now it's December and this girl is ready.

** A home Christmas Decoration tour is coming up SOON.

I didn't post on Thanksgiving week because every minute was full but I am so thankful for all of my blessings. My family, friends, apartment, love of chicken, etc. are what makes me ME and I couldn't or wouldn't change anything if I could. God blesses me beyond and beyond what I deserve and I'm thankful each and every day.

I'll be back soon!

Weekend Shenanigans-- Oxford, MS Style

Monday, October 21, 2013

Oh, how I am missed this blog. Life-- SLOW DOWN!

It's Fall y'all and I can't wait for all of these fun adventures that are coming up. So, about this weekend... Lets recap.
//Friday night in Oxford=long waits at Ajax. But.. the food was totally worth the wait. We made nice with the waitresses and "because we were nice" (their words not mine) they seated us within 30 minutes.// Pottery shopping for Christmas.//LSU fan with his corndog in the Grove.. Typical.// Caitlyn and I cheering on our Rebs.//Love my co-workers and their talent.// Dr. Leslie, You is cute!//Brother and I "FINALLY" got to game it up together.// Bre Anna.. Sorry I almost yanked your hand off during our crazy game.//Harper is getting ready for Fall!

If you are an Ole Miss fan or just keep up with SEC football in general, our REBS won in the last .03 seconds of the game with a field goal. I don't know that I've ever screamed so much in my life. By the way, follow me on instagram (button on the side) and I documented lots from last night's game!

This week, I've got lots of to-do plans and hopefully they will get done so blogging can be a part of my life again! Check back, SOON!

Sami's Shenanigans

Hello, friends! This has been a pretty low-key, relaxing weekend and I loved it!
My weeks seem to get busier and busier and my kiddos are wearing me OUT. Grad school has been on the back burner and this week, I hope to knock out some studying and work.

I've just got to get motivated! I'm going to do a blog post this week to show you some fall decorations going up and some things that are on my wish list. Be looking for that

Here is my weekend in pictures:

I'm loving my Phillip Lim bag from Target! It's huge and I've been asked 3 times this weekend if it's my suitcase but I love it! Go check them out....

// loved this hand towel that is sold at one of our local boutiques. Football is a good, good sport! :)

// Ashley who owns this local boutique re-did this beaut. It called my name when I walked in the store. She is going to use it in her dressing room and I just adore it. Our small town is SO lucky to have so many cute boutiques and unique shops to browse through. Now, my checkbook wouldn't agree.

// Ole Miss may have not had a game but red and blue was still worn for my Saturday outfit. I ADORE this Target, polka dotted jeans that I scored last week on clearance. I think that they will probably get worn quite often until winter! Target=problems with my spending problem.

I feel that my weekends have slowed down for a while because we don't have another home game until the 2nd week in October and then we have 6 home games in a room. CRAZY!

Talking about home games..
All football fans READ this. I love our coach!

Sami's Shenanigans

It's Monday, all day today and I couldn't be more tired! My kiddos were pretty good today and that's always a plus but I'm still exhausted! I need some B-12 vitamins. :)

This weekend was a lot of fun and I'm ready to share it with you!

1.// don't I need this cute SEC shirt? I'm kinda  obsessed with SEC football.

2.)// We celebrated my sweet Daddy's birthday on Saturday! We had a "mini" birthday party for them at my grandmother's house and we enjoyed some family football watching time.

3.)// Man, that cake! It was so good. I might be craving a piece at this very moment.

4.)// Merle and I decided to have a football watching party that started at Blue Canoe and ended at Buffalo Wild Wings.

OLE MISS BEAT TEXAS
#finsup #hornsdown

I just got through with dinner with sweet Emily and I can't wait for other nights of stories and catching up! :)

Hoping for a great week! I've been exhausted here lately! Any of you teachers feel this way too?

Sami's Shenanigans

Hello friends! Hope you had a great weekend. They NEVER last long enough!
I'm so glad that I'm starting to feel more in a routine with my kindergartners and their little personalities are starting to shine through. For a MONDAY, today wasn't awful and my childrens made me laugh! :)

This weekend was full of sweat, Football, and a Hotty Toddy good time.

Oh, Oxford is where my heart is and I love every chance I get being back there!
I got to meet up with Faison and can't wait to see her again for the Texas A&M game. Caitlyn and I had fun tailgating in our beloved Grove and seeing some friends that we haven't seen in a while. Y'all there is nothing like gameday!

Red and blue was everywhere and it made me so happy. Rebels pulled out a WIN which to me was a pretty boring game. It's a win none-the-less.

Hoping to post daily this week. We shall see how that goes.

Do share about your weekend and your lovely teams that represent your happiness in the fall! :)

Woo hoo, Monday is OVER!

Weekend Shenanigans.- The Busy Life.

Monday, August 26, 2013

These past couple of weeks have been CRAZY.
I'm thankful that I am starting to get the hang of Kindergarten and that God is good and gives me the strength that I need every. single. day.

Hopefully I can get my groove on this week and get back to the blogging world! I've missed it!!

1.) Carlye was a beautiful bride! We've got a lot of fun memories and this day is one of my favorites with this girl!
2.) Hutch and Carlye are perfect for each other. Their ceremony was precious and reminded me all over again that God is good and blesses his children. He wants to make us happy!
3.) I got to see this girl, Claire! She was a bridesmaid and looked beautiful in her pretty, yellow dress. Is it bad that the teacher in me starting singing the Y-e-l-l-o-w song. :)
4.)  David Wise was there looking all spiffy.
5.) OH, the single girl flower toss. I love this moment! :) and NO, it wasn't mine for the win yesterday!

6.) The Patton's are ready for some Ole Miss football. Thursday night it is. :)
7.) I loved my Target, Maxi skirt this morning for church. These things are the most comfortable!
8.) I had this pillow made for my apartment. I can't wait for it to be MINE.
9.) Daddy bought a new toy and guess who got to ride today? I love being an outside, country girl SOMETIMES....

Hope y'all have had a wonderful weekend. This is my motto for the week.

Sami's Shenanigans

Hey lovely people! I've had an amazing weekend and I'm ready for bed so this will be short and sweet

1.) The best came to the Haven and we had tons of fun! This was our walk on Beale.. We drove downtown, I did a heck of a parallel park job and we just walked around and watched all the craziness!
2.) Pedicures for both of us! I found a place in Southaven that will do Mani/Pedi for $35 and I almost fell out! That is an awesome price. HOW am I just now hearing this??
3.) A little Saturday shopping and we found this swinging outside swing. It was fun but a little scary to get in. Pier One, in case some of you would like to purchase this. :)
4.) We were looking snazzy for church so we decided that a new picture was a must!
5.) Harper wanted a picture with her mama too! I love that baby!
6.) I'm a Starbucks GOLD member as of Thursday! I'm not really sure what all of this means but I'm pumped about it. I'm ready for card to come in the mail! :)

I love when Caitlyn comes to Southaven and we get to hang out and be adventurous. Also, today at church we had a commissioning prayer for teachers and it meant the world for the congregation to lay hands on us and bless our year, encourage us to use our position to show children Jesus and for their support. If you know a teacher, tell them thanks! I know if they are like me they will appreciate it more than you know!

Happy Monday!

Sami's Shenanigans

Hey ladies! Hope you have all had a FANTASTIC weekend. Mine has gone by way.too.fast but at least I have another one to look forward to. I love spending my weekends shopping and catching up with friends!

Friday night, I got to spend time with my friend Merle. :) I haven't seen her in a while and it was good to catch up and have a little mini yard sale in the back of my trunk! That's another story for another day but I've been in a "getting rid of stuff" mood lately and all of these Facebook sale pages are rocking my world!

Yesterday was a FUN Sunday!
1.) Harper came back to the haven with me! It's been a fun summer at Nonna and Grandaddy's house! She seems to be adjusting well. No worries, Nonna!
2.) I loved the walking Target ad that I was at church this morning! Pink polka dot dress and my favorite black/brown combo shoes. I love the dresses that I can mix with other patterns and colors to make it work.
3.) Had a little get-away trip with Lane last night to our favorite place, TARGET! Our Target had a lot of the cute summer shoes on clearance so GO, NOW!

Today begins my 1st day back of my 3rd year of teaching! Are you kidding me? I still feel like it's my first year all over again. This is my motto for this school year and I can't wait to meet my Kindergarten babies.
I'm really hoping to keep up with my classroom blog this year.

Happy Monday to you all!

Sami's Shenanigans

This weekend was full of coughing, traveling and fun. Which one of these doesn't belong?

Let's recap.

I had our girls bunco group on Saturday at my apartment and it was a BLAST! We had "walking tacos" which I had at Relay for Life and I loved. It's super easy! Here's the recipe on Pinterest! I used Doritos instead of Fritos. Totally your call!

These ladies are so special to me and the majority of them go to my church which is even more fun!

I ended up coming home because I'm just NOT feeling well at all. So ready to get over these colds/sinus infections I've been having. Any suggestions let me know?

Today consisted of: A doctor's visit, Goodwill shopping and this lovely place- Oxford. Love that the tag found another way to spell my favorite place! :)

Hope y'all are having a great start to your week!

Sami's Shenanigans

This weekend has been a whirlwind. Non-stop, gotta be here now and there in a little bit. You know? Those kinds of weekends that you have your hand in EVERYTHING.
But.. If I'm honest, I adore those weekends. I hate being at home with absolutely nothing to do. Weird?... Maybe! :)

Friday: My Mom, mother and I ran some errands and then did our usual Friday night mexican date. Seriously, my grandmother is the cutest thing trying to pronounce things on the menu for her order! She's a mess!

Saturday: Mama and I got up bright and early and went to THE cutest Baby shower for her bosses' grandbaby. Let me just tell you.. A beautiful home/sun room shower, a paisley cake, sweet decor and wonderful brunch. BTW: the sweet mother-to-be has named her my favorite baby name and I can't wait to see this sweet baby.

Then.. I went to Tupelo and had a late birthday dinner with my Merle. Her family grilled hamburgers and we celebrated big.

Then.. this happened.  (The Call)
I was pretty much done at the beginning but I watched the entire movie. It. was. crazy.
Let me know if you decide to watch it, what you think about it. :)

Sunday: Merle goes to church at Northstar and our college BSU co-pastor, Troy is now on staff at this church. I enjoyed worshiping with them today and I love that their church is REAL and sincere in their love of people and showing Jesus to all. If you are looking for a church home, check them out!

I really want to update this blog on the cheap.. if you have any links, resources, ideas or if you just WANT to do it, contact me. :)

Peace y'all. Happy Monday.

Happy Monday to you!

This has been a VERY busy two weeks.  I've thankful to be back at my apartment and hopefully I am going to check some things off of my to-do list this week. So, come back and see what gets accomplished, K?

Now on to the weekend re-cap. These collages make everything easier! I love documenting what I do every weekend. Thanks, Sami for letting us all get together and share our memories.

one.// Little Harper woke me up wanting to play go potty. Isn't she the cutest thing you've ever seen? Or is it just that I'm partial??? two.// I went to Erika and Kyle's wedding reception. They got married about a month ago on the beach and had their beautiful reception this Saturday. She looked beautiful and so happy. :) three.// This reception turned into a small class reunion. I love these girls and can't wait to have a "real" get-together. I'm working on this! four.// Our small town USA Thaxton had a great "community" get together this weekend. We had food, fireworks and fun! Thaxton Baptist did a great job putting this together. I love getting together with people who I haven't seen in years! five.// Love these news shoes! They were half off and I couldn't resist. I've already worn these twice. Shoes are my love language.

Haley, one of my sweet roommates from Ole Miss has re-joined the blogging world. Please go follow her on bloglovin and show her some love! She's a precious girl who teaches, has the cutest clothes and a HUGE heart. Go. follow. her. NOW.

Sami's Shenanigans

This weekend was the perfect blend of fun, family and relaxation.

I could not ask for more.

//one. Sweet Cassie and I got to meet on a blate (blog date).  It's always so funny to me that we just completely trust the other person and I've not been fooled yet. She was just as sweet in person as she is on the World wide web. I can't wait for her to come to Oxford for a football game!

//two.  The Patton cousins get together. Sam and Theresa got married about a month ago and my aunt and uncle had a celebration party for them. It was a fun time to catch up with them because they live in California and we typically only see them at Christmas!
So happy that they are happy.

**//credit: taken from Theresa's facebook.

//three. Such a neat idea from the Groom's father, my uncle. He hung these moon lights up and they were multi-colored and beautiful in the sunlight and then at night, look how fun!?
We all were outside taking pictures and enjoying them.

//four. Love these moments with my babies at church. Yes, she's on the toilet but isn't she precious??

Sami's Shenanigans

Welcome to Monday, our favorite day of the week right?

Ha! Hope you had a fabulous weekend. Mine was fast paced and lovely. Lots of memories were made.

Wanna see my life? Let's go...

{one} I got to hug and love on sweet Chloe at our family reunion. She wasn't so sure about all of those people she had never met before. How sweet are baby loves?

{two} Will and Ashley are now The Simmons' Family after a sweet wedding and a BEAUTIFUL reception. I came straight home and told my mama that it was everything I had always imagined in a reception! So happy for y'all! :)

{three} Merle, Caitlyn and I had a great time dancing the night away. Seriously, y'all. I love to dance and nothing is better when a group of friends that I haven't seen in a while is in the mix too! So many "old" friends were at this wedding and we had a great time. I put some videos on Vine so add me on there to see them.

{four} Driving back to the city last night, I hit a couple of rain storms along the way. Then, I looked over and saw this beaut. I love a good rainbow picture! God. is. love.

{five} I am obsessed with my cooler! I was scrolling through twitter one day and saw that a friend of mine had painted her cooler for the beach. Then, naturally I got on pinterest and saw some awesome ideas that people had done. I thought about what I wanted and found someone who would paint it for me. I am so excited for the beach now and also for field trips during the school year!

Isn't it amazing how a little paint can change your mood?

{six} Aubrey had a precious Friday Freebie that I've just now found. God has really blessed my life and I do believe that he makes beautiful things!

Can't wait to see how your weekend ended up!

Let's rock this Monday.
