Adventures in Student Teaching.

Welcome to the world of little kids!
  • Miss Wahren, Did you bring your lunch? Because teachers have to eat too. :)

  • Are you going to be at our school tomorrow. (No, I have classes tomorrow but I'll be here Monday).. Oh, yeah. She's doing an AB pattern. Here one day, other school the next.

  • I love that kid. BTW: I was at the hospital the day he was born and I am soo excited to be his "student teacher".

  • These kids are amazing and are giving me a great experience this year!

Have I mentioned that I am sooo ready for fall?

For real.. pumpkins, candles, and all that jazz. Come on really!

My "grandmother, MOM" had a cornea transplant Tuesday and is doing amazingly well. She found out that she was the 1st on the list on her 85th Birthday, Friday. She has been on the waiting list for 6 months and was soo excited to have this done.

She has been struggling with her eyes and I just know that this is going to be exactly what makes her happy and keeps her young.

We went to the game Saturday, oh my! We lost again...

but remember we may loose but we never loose a party.

Then... Daddy's, Adam's, and Mom's Birthday party. It was fun. I was exhausted! :)

Until Next Time...

Happy Birthday, Mom.

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Let me just tell you why I love this lady so much.

  • She loves others more than herself.

  • She has constantly been there for me my entire life.

  • She took the best care of me when I was little and always picked me up from school when I was "sick".

  • She has cared for her sisters while each of them were in Nursing Homes.

  • She is the BEST cook in the entire world.

  • She took care of my grandaddy while he was sick with cancer and was a trooper when he went to be with our Lord.

  • She is stubborn just as I am.

  • I call her "Marjorie"

  • She hates her middle name and I am quick to bring it up.

  • She loves her family dearly.

  • She is exactly what I want to be when I get older.

  • I'm going to stop because this could last for days... :)

Many women are noble, but you surpass them all. Proverbs 31:29

Obsession: Thrift Shopping

So.. I have this love for thrift shopping. Just shopping in general mostly.

It is so fun to go into Goodwill, Salvation Army, any thrift store and dig through vintage and other kinds of clothes, jewelry, purses, all of the above.
A lady at my church really got me started going to the Salvation Army and at first I never really found anything that I felt was worth me spending my money on.

But then...
I found some cute polo shirts, a pair of Nike Shorts, and some very cute things for my apartment.

It was LOVE at first sight!

Now, when I have free time or really just whenever I can go, thrift shopping is what I do.
Please try it.
I like to say that it's my way of going green. :)

Evidence:

(my Nike Shorts) (.50)

Pink everyday shirt ($3)

I loved these boots! :) ($3)

See why it is soo much fun! :)

Going to the chapel! :)

I just love this feet picture. All the Bridesmaids! :)

I couldn't be at the game but I was there in spirit. :)

Upset.

Sunday, September 5, 2010

Well.. Game one for the Ole Miss Rebels was a heartbreaking, feet stomping mad upset. Our boys just didn't show up and show out second quarter and they got what they deserved. Lucky for us it's only game #1.
Hotty Toddy. I'm still pulling for those rebs.
On to more important things. This weekend was filled with Wedding events. Haley and Harvey had a beautiful wedding and when I get back to school I'll be sure to post pictures! :)
God blessed the day and things went "pretty" smoothly.
My school week was stressful but good and things are starting to become routine to me. I need to learn how to go to bed at a decent time and life would be easier. haha
So thankful for this memorial day weekend to catch up with friends and get some homework, house work, and other things out of the way.
Student teaching is going great so far. I am in a Kindergarten classroom at Lafayette Lower Elementary and I love it! I believe that this is going to be a great "Senior" year.
Hope your weekend has been great.
So excited for fall, football, friends and family!!!
