Happy Wednesday! It's a good day.

{It's Almost Christmas Break!}
Can I get a YAHOO! love it. I'm so excited. I can't wait to not have to do lesson plans, worry about whether or not my kids are going to make good MAP scores, get up with the chickens, you know.. many things.

Please don't get me wrong, I am extremely thankful for my job. Just ready for a break! :)

One of my Firsties randomly did a book report and brought it in. I was a proud teacher! :)

Thanksgiving Turkey Chant! (sorry for the nasal-y, manly, sickly voice you hear. That would be Muah!) :)
They are a hot mess. Love them!

{Heat}

It's been rather chilly here lately, and I love it. I love being able to come in from a long day and lay around in the heat with a blanket and cuddle up and watch t.v. But-- As I was walking Harper last night it suddenly hit me that I was very thankful for having a job and being able to pay the bills so that I can enjoy the heat.

It really hit me that I feel very, VERY sorry for the people who are on the streets and can't afford to pay their bills. There were probably people nearby me that were on the streets and were struggling last night while I was cuddled up in my house. Gosh, reality hit me like a ton of bricks. What am I doing to help others out? Got to work on this...

{Christmas Decor}
I absolutely adore this time of year. Decorating, hosting parties, being with family and friends, getting out of school/off of work, shopping. BRING. IT. ON!

Can't wait to sit back and enjoy the decorations that my mother has waiting on me at my home, home. :)

{Family, Friends}

My girl, Merle, and I went to Starkganistan, aka, Starkville, MS this weekend for the world-known Egg Bowl. Well, to put it lightly, it rained the whole game. We were crazy for sitting out in it but FREE tickets and a HUGE rivalry. Who wouldn't? HOTTY TODDY! My poor Rebels got beat pretty badly but we NEVER lose a party.

We'll be back. Have no fear.

Before the game.

During the game! (yes, she's a traitor!)

BTW: I'm saddened tonight for a guy who graduated from my High School. Adam Sullivan died in a car-wreck last night and I just really feel for his family and what they are going through. If you are a praying individual, please send up a prayer for them tonight. :) I know that they would be very grateful!

Thanksgiving Day

I just love this day for so many reasons. Family gatherings, blessings to be thankful for, sweet text messages from friends, Wonderful, overflowing food, and a shopping day on the horizon! :)

I have soo much to be thankful for and I would like to share some of those things with you now. God is too much and he blesses me with more than enough everyday and to HIM i give the most Thanks!

My Precious Family:

God is good. He gives us exactly what we need. My mama, daddy, and my brother, Adam are exactly what I need to keep me humble, aggrivate me to death, and show me unconditional love! Thank you Lord for the Patton's. :)

My First Graders:

I am so thankful to have a job and one that challenges me everyday! I prayed and hoped for a job and God granted that wish. It's fun, exhausting, and half the time I feel like I have no idea what I am doing but I'm making it and for that, I'm thankful!

My own place:

I love living alone (in this season of my life) and I couldn't ask for a cozier apartment. I love decorating it and having people over and this is something that is in my little Southern Belle blood. Thank you Lord, for providing.

Wonderful friends:

I am so thankful for all of my GIRLS in my life whether it was the high school days to Post-College, now! I love each and every one of them so much and I appreciate all the text messages, phone calls, letters, and just smiles that I get from them daily! Friends mean the world to me and I could never repay them for what they have done.

Ole Miss:

Yes, I'm crazy thankful for this place. College apartments, School of Education, Football games, The Grove, Red and Blue, Colonel Reb, ALL OF IT! I love Oxford in general and I love going back every chance that I get. Hopefully that special man of mine is out there, is an Ole Miss fan and we can share in this together!

Happy Thanksgiving! LOVE YOU ALL!

 Happy Veterans Day!

 This picture was taken on July 4th. I just love American flags, patriotic songs, and anything to do with celebrating our Country. It's such a sweet time for remembering those who have selflessly fought for our country!

My grandaddy, Howard Heard, fought in WWII and I couldn't be prouder of him than for that awesome act that he did. Even though I was only 4 when he died I will always remember the bright smile he had, almost dying in the creek @ The Wises', and how he always brought me chicken nuggets when he picked me up from Daycare. Maybe, just maybe that's why I love them so much!

Anyway, Veterans should be thanked in many different ways and I wish that I could thank each of them personally but that would take forever!
So.. If you read my blog and you know a Vet, please tell them, show them this, however you can that I said THANK YOU!

Happy Friday!
