Double Decker was a hit! We had a wonderful time visiting with old friends, and being in back in Oxford for me, was a wonderful time. Man, how I miss this place!

Colonel made his appearance and my cute SIL to be made the cute little cookie up top. Double Decker 2012-- You made my weekend special! 

My daddy grew these roses in our backyard and picked me some today before I came back. I love my McCarty vase and it made my house a little more homey! 

He also helped me fix these flowers today. It won't fit on my railing as planned, but it looks cute sitting on the concrete! It's Spring Time! :)

Dear Monday, A day off of school was much needed. I am excited to see my Firsties tomorrow but it was nice to do some things that I needed to  wanted to do today!

Dear Monday,  i really, really am considering a summer part-time job. Am I crazy??

     1.  When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is, cut my alarm off and cut the t.v. on. Boy Meets World every morning! Flashback, anyone?

2.   I can hardly wait for   school to be out and my first year of teaching to be behind me. I really, really, really can't believe it though!

3.  The quickest way to my heart is     diamonds      because    isn't that the most romantic way to say I love you! 

4. A little known fact about me is that    I was a preemie, 4lbs. 6oz. and I have a whole in my nose from where it didn't form at birth. I was 5 weeks early and it never formed together. No worries, it's not a gaping hole, just a tiny thing that most people don't even notice.

5. The best part about my job is    getting to invest in 26 little lives that I will never know what kind of impact I made on. No matter how hard of a day that I have or how much I have to yell, my 1st year babies will always hold a special place in my heart.

6. Something I just couldn't live without is    the LOVE of my family. I seriously, hands down have the best family! 

7.  Something useful that I wish I knew how to do is   change the oil/tires on my car. I have these problems often and I need to learn how to deal with them. Daddy, could you help me?

Thank God it's Friday. I'm heading home to go to DOUBLE DECKER! My favorite! :)

What I'm Loving on this Wednesday!

{one} I'm loving the body of Christ that I get to be a part of each Wednesday night. It truly is a booster to most weeks when I need to be reminded that Jesus DIED for me and that I need to truly LIVE for him each and every day. Why is this so hard for me to understand and live out? Shouldn't be. 

{two} I love that I can call my mama and daddy every night and relive my day to them in conversation. They are my rock and I seriously don't know what I would do without them. They love me, encourage me, and pray for my daily. This I know. 

{three}  This one's trivial. I'm loving nail polish at the moment. I am obsessed with buying different brands and seeing all the pretty colors that I can find. :)

{four} We have a career day on Friday so tomorrow is our test day! Just one day closer to summer. Got lots of big plans, concerts, and events so I can't wait. Just the perks of being led to a career where I get the summer months off. Thank you, Lord and please don't let the Legislature change that!

Sometimes: I wonder where my life is going.

Always: I go right back to reading them all as soon as the thought leaves me. 

Sometimes: I wonder why I chose a career that dealt with low paychecks, boogers, poop, and lots of "Ms. Patton's????"

Always: I'm very thankful that God chose me to be a teacher and that I was offered a job when/where i was. It isn't always perfect but its where HE wants me. :)

Dear Monday, it's 3 1/2 weeks till school is Ova. I will only see 3 more of you as a 1st year teacher. :)

Dear Monday, Is it bad that I start counting down till Friday as soon as you begin? I'm sorry that it's that way. I live for the weekends! 

Dear Monday, I need to clean my apartment. Don't let me be so worn out by the time I get home. That's usually the case.

I was tweeting Kari Jobe, because you know we are bffs and all, and she was showing a sweet picture of her fur baby. You know I had to do the same. This was the face I got! My Harper is the sweetest thing ever. Don't mess. 

Shell came to see me in the "Haven" today and we have this little problem. Twice this has happened. We tend to think alike and match. Notice the Nike shorts. Yeah, that wasn't planned. She has a sweet rental right now, and totally hates it because the car is messedddd up! haha! We went for a cruise, and enjoyed some time to catch up. :)


She posted this after she got home. Man, we have some memories.

I remember in 4th grade this sassy girl came to North Pontotoc and from that day forward we were friends. She was a bossy thing and we all listened to what she said. I remember a "said" birthday party where she was being her bossy self and we went to bath and body works for my "MALL" party. She got sprayed with 13 different perfumes because that was our way of being mean.

Sorry brit. I really am.

9 years of High school + 2 years of college+ 1 year of being roomates= Friends for life!

We've had some fun times.

Well see, she met this boy after some time, and he was the one she wanted to spend her life with. His name was John and she started planning a wedding when she got this pretty rock on her finger. 

She had a wonderful day where we all had fun getting ready, eating lunch together, and taking tons of pics. Her photographer was wonderful and let us show our own personalities through her work! Some of my favorite pics to document the day!

I said the prayer before we left for the ceremony and this is the sweetest pic of Merle and I holding hands in the circle. Love my sweet friends!

God brought these sweet friends into my life. I'm very thankful!

It's Wednesday! I'm loving that for sure. :)

{It's Almost Summer} I am tooo excited that my first year as a 1st Grade teacher is almost over. Not being ugly, but truthful. It's been wonderful, stressful, and crazy all in one breath! My firsties are precious beyond measure but they drain my all day, every day!

{The beach} oh, I can't wait for the blue skies, and sand between my toes. This will be my first REAL beach experience. What??? You can't believe that. i know. I'm from Mississippi, I've been to the Gulf Coast.. does that count? Absolutely not. :)

{Double Decker} 2 weeks, but who's counting? Oxford is my happy place. The place I have grown up 15 minutes away from, the place where I first heard Hotty Toddy and told my mama that those were "bad words" and the place that my mama has instilled in me since day 1. That's Ox. I love going back and the minute I get off of 55 and head that way, my heart skips a beat. I can't wait to get there, see the square packed for the FUN, and take tons of pictures with friends. Be still my heart.

Life is good! I'm so excited for all the good things that are happening. Praying for all my friends who are struggling to find answers to some hard questions. Be THANKFUL for everything that the Lord has put in your path.
