Weekend Smeechend.

Sunday, February 24, 2013

Hello, dears! Hope you all had amazing weekends that you can't wait to tell about. My weekend was full of family time and relaxing just a tad. I've got a busy month of March coming up and I'm getting really excited about all of my adventures but also trying to rest a little before the time comes.

Friday night, our group had Bunco at my mother's house. Let me just tell you, this is one of my favorite times once a month! We have a great meal, we talk about important things and play the game to see who is going to win the awesome prizes that the host has picked out for us!

and I got to meet my daddy's new work truck.
Meet "julopy".
(My girls that I babysit named their daddy's truck that looked just like this "julopy" so in good nature, I stole the name.)

Saturday rolled around and after NOT getting to sleep late, I went to the nail salon with mama and then we went shopping with Mom. I found a few things that need to make it home with me...
I want the rabbit attachment for Easter and then I'm done. I'll have almost every holiday! We ate mexican and had a great time just looking around.
and then...

I walked in one of my favorite stores and this little gem called my name and told me it wanted to go home with me. I can't say that my parents were thrilled but I think she's glad I listened to her. Is it weird that I'm talking about furniture talking to me?
Does that make me crazy????
What do y'all think? I'm in love!

Then, Sat. night we went to see Safehaven and let me just say that it was totally worth the $8.50 we paid. I'm not a movie goer but I felt like this movie would be worth it and Boy, was it? Go. See. It.

I came home Saturday night and my Facebook feed was filled with Ashley+Paul's Wedding Pictures. Ley Elliot was their photographer and I love their sweet memories. It's such a sweet season in so many of my friend's lives and I couldn't be happier to share in it with them

Well, ladies.. that's my weekend. I've got to say my prayers and hit the hay. Hoping for a great school day tomorrow with my babies! Check back tomorrow for my favorite "tweets" from this past week.

See you then!

Can it really be over already?

Well, its Monday again.
I will put a smile on my face and be thankful for all I have.- I have to tell myself this over and over and over again on a Monday.

I feel the need for a list. It makes my OCD brain happy.
1.) Friday night, Mama and I picked up my dress for the wedding this weekend! I can not believe that it is here! :) Weddings are my favorite!
We ate my favorite meal, MEXICAN and then went to visit Adam at the Fire Department. Then this happened.

2.) Saturday I slept late, got pedicures with Mama and spent some time with sweet friends. :)

Isn't this shop precious? Her pet lemur.. kinda freaky but really sweet!

Then I got to meet my newest cousin, Chloe Elizabeth Garrard. She is one precious baby! Can't wait to hold her and love on her!

It's been a great weekend! Got a long week ahead and then Em/Josh's Wedding Weekend! Can.not.wait.

You know you wanna know...

My weekends lately have been so wonderful and filled with lots of things to do! If you know me, you know laying on the couch for 9 hours just isn't my thing. There are many days that I wish it was, but it's just not in my genes.

Isn't my daddy precious? Friday night the mother and I met our cousins at the Mexican restaurant to eat. Of course, I was in! The father and I had on flannel shirts so naturally we had to have our picture taken!

Then on Saturday we went on a shopping spree. I got some clothes from Old Navy and a precious necklace that will be making its debut soon! :)
While I was drying my hair, I saw this reminder in the sink. God loves me and wants what's best for me.
I need to let that sink in more often!

remember on Friday when I said I was making that outfit happen? Well, you better remember because here it is. I wasn't in love with the blazer over it, so I didn't wear it but I do love the combo!

I was browsing through instagram the other day and saw where Katie used wire baskets to organize her accessories. I had already made a scarf basket a couple of weeks ago but loved her idea of putting her flats in a basket. So..

my project.

and lastly I loved watching these munchkins in Children's Church this morning. In the words' of Ray Lewis after the Super Bowl, "When God is for you, who can be against you?"
Remember this kids as you get older.

Enough about my weekend, how was yours?

also, I'm looking for people to re-do this space of mine. Any suggestions?

celebrate good times, come on!

linking up with Sami and the gang. :)

Hey y'all!
My goodness how the weekends fly by. I seriously hate that just when I feel like I'm getting off at 3:00, it's Monday at 7:00 again! Errrr....

Now, let's re-cap my exciting weekend/life, shall we?

As with every weekend, Twitter is my best friend. I came across this and just laughed and laughed. Sorry, you mad?

Then, a Shopping trip with the mother happened. I love my new striped shirt that I will be wearing with that leopard scarf, contrary to my mother's wishes. I obviously don't get my fashion taste from her.

These boots were also added to my closet! I've been wanting another pair of boots in my life and I just so happen to run up on these! :)
Think they'll go with anything? What would you wear them with?

My sweet girls in Nursery at church! We've got to work on looking at the camera! They should know by now that Ms. Lauren is always taking pictures of their crazy selves.

and.....

I started Grad School tonight!
It's hard to believe that I'm back in school but I am so excited to better myself as a teacher and raise the pay scale a tiny bit. It'll be nice to have a higher degree and know even more on how to help my sweet babies.

So, there's my weekend. Hope you had a great one yourself.

link-up with Sami. Can't wait to hear what you've done.

Weekend Shenanigans.

This weekend has been wonderful. Write it down in the books! I so wish that every weekend could have the eventfulness that this weekend brought. :)
So, let's get to it. Shall we?

{Friday night}- After a long week at school, Friday night came with much welcome. I came home and crashed on the couch for a nap. Then, I met some friends at the Mexican Restaurant for some good food and an even better time!
of course, then it was pj and Pinterest time!

{Saturday} I babysat sweet Maddie and we played dress up, ate a fine lunch of cherrios and baby food, and then she wanted to watch a little tv. I can't believe she'll be one in a couple of weeks!
** these are the glasses that I won in a giveaway from www.firmoo.com. they are tortoise and I'm not sure that I can pull them off, but they are cute nonetheless.

then....
this guy and I had a date!

and can I just say, he was an even better date the 2nd time around! Such a great concert with some of my best girls!
this lady is my cousin, Carmen and she is such a fun person to hang out with! She used to babysit me when I was younger and it's so cool to grow up along side her!

{Sunday}- Got up, went to church and then my best came into town. Let me tell you... we have been to some wonderful restaurants and shopped for 2 days. So. much.fun.

my favorite purchase of the weekend
*nook cover. :)

how i love weekends.

Monday, January 7, 2013

Hello ladies!

this weekend was relaxed and low key, just the way I like it. It's been a while since I've had a weekend like this and I enjoyed every moment of it.

Ole Miss won the Compass Bowl- The rebs beat Pittsburgh 38-17 in the bowl game. We have had a really good season (after all) and I am so thankful to be a Rebel fan. :) Love Hugh Freeze as our coach and even better as a person. He is on fire for God and is coaching this team in more than just football.

Early Birthday Supper @ The Sizzler- My family has eaten at this restaurant forever and I couldn't think of anywhere I would rather eat for my family birthday supper. We saw some friends and had a great meal. Now for those pictures. My brother can never be serious. Ever...

So thankful for a family who celebrates birthdays BIG. Thank you mother and daddy for the love and support you've given me for almost 24 years!

Love my birthday cake- Familia knows I love some chevron, so naturally I would want it on a birthday cake. I love how it turned out. Every year, birthday cake designs are my favorite. Plus, it has to taste good, DUH!

Baby Shower- Chloe Elizabeth, my not yet born cousin's baby shower was today. Can't wait to meet this precious one.

Hope you've had a great weekend. What did you do?
