Tail Wagging Tuesday

Tuesday, July 5, 2011

Linking up! I've missed this little blog hop. I've always loved showing pictures of my Harper.
She loves Summertime. :)

Seriously--this is what she does, everyday, all day long. It must be nice. She can sleep all day and all night and be perfectly content. She is precious.

She snores, flips on her back, and soaks it all in.

Happy Tuesday!

As you all know.. I'm getting ready to move into a place of my VERY own!

I added these to my loot today. So excited.

Thanks Caitlyn for helping me decide!

Loved this funky coffee table! :)

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

{one}
Happy 4th of July!
It's just one of those days where you want to sit at home, spend time with your family, and celebrate our country's 235 birthday! :)

{two}
I had  a yard sale Saturday and realized just how much "junk" I have collected over the years. It's an eye opener, but I sold my "treasures" to people and made me some money, honey! I am very excited to finally not be broke for a while.

{three}
I'm not excited or anything but in 5 days I will be in NEW YORK! Can. Not.Wait. :)
Of course, I'll keep you updated through iPhone pictures! Ha.

Happy 4th of July!

this is how my day was spent.

blooming onion. Addicted.

Instagram 4th! :)

I am very thankful for all the men and women who have/are serving overseas for our country. We are truly blessed in America because of who they are and what they have done. Thankful for a GOD who loves me all the time and blesses me with freedom daily.

I'm proud to be an AMERICAN!

Simple Things

Thursday, June 30, 2011

Life is made up of things that are uplifting and things that bring us down. God makes this world go around and he knows exactly what is happening. :)

{Simple things that I enjoy:}

Going to eat with the brother and his girlfriend.

Knowing  what my mama is thinking without her saying a word.

Yard Sales and Craigslist

Reminiscing with stories from our younger years. One of my favorite things to do.

A smile from a stranger.

On another note...

She's the one on the left. :)
I'm broken tonight- The sweetest assistant that I ever worked with, Ms. Jo Lewis, found out today that she has Stage 4 Liver Cancer. Not only is she young, but she also has a precious baby girl.
Ms. Jo always had a smile on her face and we loved talking about shopping, her going back to school, and all the life experiences that she had. She has so many people praying for her and I just know that God CAN heal her.

Please, if you believe, send us prayers for her. She deserves every one of them.

Life is simple. It's the simple things in life that are fun, and mean something. The news about her has shown me that life is precious and we should be thankful for everyday that we live.

There is nothing better than sleeping till 10:00 on accident. Thank you Lord that I can sleep late!

Packing for Yard Sale on Saturday!
Yard sales are probably one of my favorite things to do. Hopefully the cash will make it even better.
If you live near me and would like to know details, just leave me a comment. :)

Air Conditioning.
It is just entirely too hot in Mississippi.

My new Shutterfly Personalized Notebook that Bre Anna had made for me. :)

I used it at Orientation yesterday! So fun.

On my way home to see the familia and my furbaby.

Have a LOVELY Wednesday!

Growing up!

It's official...
 I'm getting old!

I had orientation today and I was up at 5:30. Geez. That hasn't happened in a while. It wasn't fun. I luckily got up, got ready, and arrive to orientation on time. :) It was a hurry up and WAIT kind of day. That's life, and now I am one step closer to being fully prepared to be a 1st year teacher.

Old School.

After my orientation I went and got my 3rd iPhone. Problems and I just love my phone too much to leave them like they are. You know, if you have never been to an Apple store, you are missing out. They are just too much fun. I could stay in there all day.
Thanks Apple.

and...
We went out Saturday night to Don Julio's to celebrate Merle's birthday. We laughed and had the best time. There is really nothing like spending time with your girlfriends and I am soaking it up because I know in a few short weeks that I will only see them on my weekends home. :(

Merle,
I am so glad that God decided to put my best friend at the time and you together in a lovely dorm room in Sheffield hall our freshman year. If he hadn't knit this plan together in his hands, then we would have never became friends. I will never forget the impact that you have made on my life and I know that everything you have you have worked hard for. I've seen you at your best and at your worst and I know that God has a HUGE plan for your life. Happy Late Birthday and yes... I will be your paula-bearer. :)
love,
Lou-Lou.

love the atmosphere.
such a great cake! :)

The best and I.

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

So much going on. But... I have to blog for my sanity. :)

one.
I sometimes hate the fact that my Daddy works for the public. You can't really ever make plans because something could go wrong and it's his job to help them. I'm totally thankful that he is able to do this, just stinks sometimes.

two.
I'm hopefully going to be doing a lot of this..

and..
(changing banks)

Today!

three.
I'm working on my "Miss Lauren's Classroom" blog and I'll share with you as soon as it's up. I still can't believe I will be teaching 1st grade in a little over a month.

*pretty sure this was around 1st grade. :)

four.
If you have any crafty ideas or suggestions on how to make curtains for my apartment without sewing, I would love some help. I just wish I could sew!

Happy Monday!

Blanks Friday.

Friday, June 24, 2011

1.   The last thing I ate was      South Depot- New taco place on the square in Oxford. Check.It.Out. Quality time with the brother and his girl.
2.  The next thing I'd like to eat is    some grapes. too bad I don't have any. Whatever I can scrap up for lunch.

3.  The best things    are what make us happy. Seriously, if eating mexican makes you happy, do it. If laughing makes you happy, laugh all over. If babies make you happy, play with them. ha! (is that what you were expecting!) Actually, most of these things make ME happy!
babysitting on my mission trip to Montana! :)

4.  Something that makes me supremely and utterly happy is  totally didn't see this questions before I wrote the last. Um.. Family time. I love being able to spend time with my family and making memories that will last as long as I am alive. Planning for my future is my next thing. Now, On to the future...

5.  Sports are    so much fun! I love SEC football and baseball. That's about all that I get into though! :)

6.  I miss      having a job and having my own money.  I'm a pretty independent person and I like doing what I want, when I want. Student teaching was amazing but also a very BROKE time in my life! :) Preparing me for the rest of my life as a teacher, I guess...

7.  Right now I am      wondering what the weekend is going to hold? I've got plans.. now to finalize them. :)

Does anyone else use a planner like crazy?? I do!!

Happy Friday! :)
